Coastal Cruisers
Riding, Engaging and Inspiring Communities to help Cure Cancer!
About Us
After a few of the team participated with the Servies team in the 2016 Tour de Rocks, the Coastal Cruisers formed in 2017. The main goal of the team is to raise much needed funds for Cancer Research and Services. We are aligned with the Tour de Rocks and the main event we participate in is the Tour de Rocks Charity Bike Ride around the New England. The ride, over 3 days, covers 250 kms on all kinds of surfaces and just a few hills. It is a grueling event, but so inspirational when we see over 350 riders and 120 supporters focused on one goal. That is - raising much needed funds for Cancer. Knowing people who have lost their battle with Cancer, currently fighting Cancer, recovered from Cancer, everyone has been affected and this brings us all together.
In July 2019, we became an Incorporated Association with a view to continuing to grow the team and enable us to raise more funds and make donations for Cancer Research and Services.
With great support from family and friends, local Businesses and the Central Coast Community Business we have raised and contributed over $170,000 to the Tour de Rocks Charity. We have been successful in obtaining approprations for the Central Coast area including for the Coast CanCare Wellness Programs, Continuous Ambulatory Delivery Device (CADD) Pumps and a Nursing Chair for Cancer Treatment.
The team continues to grow and we have over 50 riders and 30 support crew participating in the annual event.
